LOVENY takes its name from the river which flows through St.Neot, on the edge of Bodmin Moor.  Its 45 choristers come from E.Cornwall and W. Devon (and one travels weekly from Wales!)   Concerts within Cornwall are the normbut Spring 2009 did see them tour N. Devon, and in June attend a Festival near Verona. 2010 will see Loveny in The Azores, and 2011 in Brittany.

READING, a University Town, finds recruiting easier and distance to practise shorter.  Well known and highly respected in their home County their 75+ members are widely travelled.  In Dusseldorf in 2007, and Innsbruck in 2009 their trophy cabinet reflects their achievements.
The choirs’ connections?   Both were founded in 1971,  and  Loveny held its first meeting at CARNGLAZE!!    
Loveny's MD Dorothy Andrews, when younger, was a soprano soloist in a Berkshire choir run by Reading's MD Gwynn Arch!!   No surprise then when Reading, wishing to sing in Cornwall made contact with Loveny.

 Each choir will present a mixture of Religious, Operatic, and light music for your entertainment, no doubt in similar, but different ways.
